Coursory is invitation-only and paid plans are not offered yet. This page explains how credits work during the preview.
There are no prices on this page because there is nothing to buy yet. The product has no checkout or payment step.
Where things stand
- Access is by invitation. The allowance for your account is confirmed when you are invited.
- Paid plans are not offered, and no payment is taken in the preview.
- When paid plans are introduced, they will be described on this page.

How credits work
Credits are the unit Coursory uses to count AI work.
- What uses credits: actions that call an AI service, such as analysing source material, drafting text, generating assessment items, creating images and generating narration.
- See the cost first: before a full course is generated, you are shown a quote for it.
- Held while work runs: credits for the work in progress are set aside. Any that are not used are released.
- Failures: if a later step fails, AI work that already finished can still be charged.
- Expiry: some credits, such as promotional ones, can expire. Each grant shows its expiry date when it has one.
- Your record: the Credits page in the app lists your balance, every grant and every charge.
